👮Police Mistreatment

Interactions between civilians and law enforcement should remain realistic, balanced, and roleplay-driven at all times.

In-Character Conduct

In-character (IC) tension, verbal hostility, or non-compliance toward police officers is permitted when it is justified by the roleplay scenario.

However, behaviour must remain proportionate and believable. Excessive, repetitive, or immersion-breaking actions toward officers are not permitted.

Examples of unacceptable behaviour include:

  • Constant harassment or trolling of officers without roleplay context

  • Repeatedly provoking police purely to start chases or conflict

  • Disrupting legitimate police roleplay for entertainment or attention

Police interactions should contribute to meaningful roleplay, not disrupt it.

Out-of-Character Conduct

Out-of-character (OOC) abuse or harassment directed at players because they are playing a law enforcement role is strictly prohibited.

This includes behaviour such as:

  • Personal insults or targeted harassment

  • Use of slurs or offensive language

  • Toxic behaviour in voice chat, text chat, streams, or external platforms

  • Targeting players outside of roleplay because of their police character

All players must maintain respect toward each other OOC, regardless of in-character conflict.

In-Character Police Accountability

If a player believes a police officer has committed misconduct, mistreatment, or abuse of authority in roleplay, the matter should be handled in-character where possible.

Complaints may be submitted to the UKCore Office of Professional Conduct (UOPC), which allows incidents to be investigated and resolved through roleplay rather than OOC escalation.

Enforcement

Failure to maintain respectful conduct OOC, or repeated disruption of police roleplay through unrealistic behaviour, may result in administrative action.

Players are expected to separate in-character conflict from out-of-character behaviour at all times.
