⚖️Court Rules

Court roleplay within UKCore Network is conducted fully in-city and is considered an important part of the legal and justice system. While the server operates under a semi-serious roleplay environment, all players involved in court proceedings are expected to participate in good faith and with reasonable effort.

If your character is informed that they are required to attend court, you must make a reasonable effort to attend and participate in the process. Avoiding or intentionally bypassing court roleplay is not permitted.

Court outcomes—whether favourable or not—are part of character development and storytelling, and players are expected to roleplay the results appropriately.

Failure to Engage / NITRP

Requesting police officers or staff to “just send me down” instead of attending court proceedings will be considered NITRP (Not Initiating the Required Roleplay).

Players are expected to engage with legal roleplay systems when their character is involved in them.

Repeated refusal to participate in court proceedings may result in administrative action.

Custody, Transport & Court Security

Breaking someone out of:

  • Court

  • Police custody

  • Transport to or from court

may be considered Low-Quality Roleplay unless it is supported by strong planning, believable motives, and realistic roleplay progression.

Low-effort actions—such as randomly ramming a prison transport vehicle without prior roleplay or planning—are not considered acceptable roleplay.

If players wish to attempt a custody or transport break, it should involve clear narrative buildup and meaningful roleplay.

Exploiting & Avoiding Consequences

Escaping court or custody consequences through non-roleplay methods is strictly prohibited.

This includes:

  • Relogging to avoid roleplay

  • Disconnecting to bypass custody or court

  • Exploiting game mechanics

  • Using any non-roleplay method to avoid legal outcomes

These actions are considered exploiting server systems and may result in severe administrative action.

Corruption roleplay involving the justice system may include:

  • Judges

  • Prosecutors

  • Solicitors

  • Law enforcement

  • Court staff

However, any corruption storyline involving the legal system must receive prior staff approval through a support ticket with a clear proposal.

This ensures that corruption storylines remain balanced, realistic, and fair for all players involved.

Protection of Court Roleplay

Targeting members of the legal system purely because you are unhappy with a court outcome is considered Low-Quality Roleplay.

This includes intentionally targeting:

  • Judges

  • Prosecutors

  • Solicitors

  • Court personnel

Such actions can:

  • Disrupt ongoing and future court roleplay

  • Negatively impact other players’ experiences

  • Undermine the legal roleplay system

Court roleplay is designed to be a persistent and meaningful part of the server, and actions intended to undermine it may result in administrative action.
