Failure to Roleplay (FailRP) & Unrealistic Behaviour

FailRP is strictly prohibited. All players are expected to roleplay realistically and in good faith at all times.

Players may not ignore injuries, troll scenarios, or disengage from serious roleplay situations without a valid roleplay reason.

Walking away from, dismissing, or intentionally disrupting serious scenes—especially those involving law enforcement, medical staff, or emergency services—is not permitted.

Injury Roleplay

All injuries, whether minor or severe, must be roleplayed appropriately.

Players are required to allow UHS (medical services) to conduct their medical roleplay without interference or resistance.

Examples of FailRP related to injuries include:

  • Ignoring injuries or acting as if they did not occur

  • Instantly recovering without medical treatment or realistic recovery time

  • Continuing normal activity as if unaffected after serious injury

Players should ensure their character’s behaviour reflects the severity of the situation and the injuries sustained.

Unrealistic & Dangerous Behaviour

Actions that are clearly unrealistic or would pose extreme danger in real-world situations are considered FailRP.

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Driving at extreme speeds through heavily populated areas (e.g., excessive speeds through Legion Square)

  • Reckless or dangerous driving through road closures, emergency scenes, or active work zones

  • Ignoring hazards, barriers, or emergency personnel without proper roleplay justification

Players must ensure their behaviour remains believable within the roleplay environment.

Use of Force & Injury Effects

When a weapon is discharged during roleplay—whether by law enforcement or civilians—the effects of that force must be roleplayed appropriately.

Examples include:

Tasers

  • Roleplay neuromuscular incapacitation

  • Visible pain, disorientation, and loss of motor control

Firearms

  • Roleplay realistic gunshot injuries

  • Shock, bleeding, mobility impairment, and the need for urgent medical attention

Immediately continuing to fight, run, or behave as if unaffected after being struck by a taser or firearm is considered FailRP, unless there is clear and believable roleplay justification.

This rule exists to maintain realism and meaningful escalation during confrontations.

Emergency & Enforcement Roleplay

Interactions involving law enforcement or emergency services must be respected and properly roleplayed.

For example:

  • If a vehicle is illegally parked, enforcement actions such as clamping or ticketing are valid roleplay and must be respected.

  • Attempting to bypass, ignore, or troll these interactions is considered FailRP.

Vehicle Collisions & Emergency Response

If you are involved in a vehicle collision and wish to roleplay the incident, you should make a reasonable effort to remain inside the vehicle where appropriate to allow firefighters and medical personnel to conduct realistic rescue and treatment roleplay.

Players may exit the vehicle if remaining inside would place their character in immediate danger.

Medical Authority

UHS medical staff have the final authority regarding:

  • Injury severity

  • Required treatment

  • Recovery outcomes

Players are expected to respect and follow medical roleplay decisions made by UHS staff.

Failure to comply with medical roleplay instructions or intentionally disrupting treatment may result in administrative action.
