🧎Hostages for Ransom

Gangs and criminal groups may take players hostage as part of legitimate, story-driven roleplay scenarios. Hostage situations must always follow proper escalation, maintain realism, and allow all parties an opportunity to participate in meaningful roleplay.
Hostage-taking should never be used purely to farm money or force quick payouts. The focus should remain on negotiation, tension, and immersive roleplay.
Ransom Rules
When holding a hostage for ransom, the following rules apply:
You may only request cash rolls as ransom.
The maximum ransom amount is $5,000.
You may not demand items, including but not limited to:
Weapons
Drugs
Vehicles
Vehicle keys
Property access
Any other in-game items or assets.
All ransom demands must be reasonable and roleplay-driven.
Hostage Time Limit
Hostages may only be held for a maximum of 1 hour.
During this time, players are expected to engage in active negotiation, interaction, and roleplay. Holding a hostage without meaningful RP, or intentionally delaying the situation, is not permitted.
Once the 1-hour limit is reached, the situation must be resolved through roleplay (release, payment, police intervention, etc.).
Hostage Safety & Escalation
Hostages must be treated realistically and not subjected to unnecessary harm.
If negotiations completely fail or the situation cannot progress, the hostage holder may place the hostage into Stage 1 (downed on their side) as a last resort to conclude the scenario.
Excessive harm, torture, or repeated hostage-taking of the same individual may be treated as Low Quality RP (LQRP).
Roleplay Expectations
Hostage situations should include:
Proper initiation and escalation
Negotiation or communication with other parties (police, gangs, associates)
Opportunities for resolution or compromise
Realistic decision-making and consequences
Hostage scenarios should create engaging roleplay for everyone involved, rather than serving as a quick method for profit.
Staff Authority
Staff reserve the right to intervene, end, or void hostage scenarios that are deemed unrealistic, abusive, or purely profit-driven.
Failure to follow these rules may result in administrative action.
