Gang Cooldowns

Gang cooldowns exist to ensure conflicts have meaningful consequences, prevent immediate retaliation cycles, and encourage long-term, story-driven roleplay rather than constant gang warfare.

These cooldowns must be respected by all gangs and players involved.

After Being Blooded Out

If a player is blooded out of a gang, the following restrictions apply:

  • The player must observe a 7-day cooldown period before joining or becoming affiliated with another gang.

  • During this cooldown period, the player may not contact, interact with, or engage in conflict with the gang that removed them.

  • The player may continue to participate in the city as an independent individual, including legal work or solo criminal activity, but may not represent or assist another gang during this time.

This cooldown ensures the character’s separation from the gang is meaningful and realistic.

After Bleeding Someone Out

If a gang bloods out one of their members, the following rule applies:

  • The gang must wait 48 hours (2 days) before recruiting or adding any new members.

  • This prevents gangs from immediately replacing members and ensures the decision to remove someone carries consequences.

During this time, gangs are expected to continue roleplay and deal with the internal impact of losing a member.

Circumventing Cooldowns

Players may not attempt to bypass or manipulate these cooldowns by:

  • Using alternate characters

  • Informally working with another gang during the cooldown

  • Acting as a “runner” or unofficial member for another gang

Any attempt to bypass cooldown restrictions will be treated as a rule violation.

Enforcement

Gang cooldowns are strictly enforced.

  • No cooldowns will be waived under any circumstances.

  • Staff decisions regarding cooldown violations are final.

These rules exist to maintain balance, realism, and meaningful consequences within gang roleplay.
