🔦Gang vs Gang: On Sight

When members of one gang encounter a known rival gang within the city, the situation should be treated as a potentially hostile interaction. Rival gangs are expected to maintain tension and dominance in public spaces, meaning encounters may escalate into conflict.

However, “On Sight” does NOT mean immediate violence. Proper roleplay escalation must always occur first.

Initial Interaction

If you encounter a rival gang:

  • You may approach them aggressively to assert dominance.

  • This can include verbal confrontation, intimidation, threats, or demands.

  • The goal is to create tension and roleplay, not instantly begin combat.

Examples of acceptable escalation:

  • Confronting them about territory

  • Pressing them about previous conflicts

  • Ordering them to leave your area

  • Challenging their presence in your neighbourhood

This interaction should build the scene and allow both sides to react.

Escalation to Conflict

If neither side backs down and the situation escalates:

  • The scene may progress into a scrap (melee fight) or a larger gang conflict.

  • Violence must always follow proper escalation and realistic roleplay progression.

  • Both sides must still respect Fear RP, gang conflict limits, and weapon rules.

Gang encounters should feel like street dominance and rivalry, not random violence.

Stage System

Gang conflicts follow the Stage System when dealing with rival gang members.

Stage 1 – On Your Side

If a rival gang member is defeated in a fight and placed on their side:

  • This is considered Stage 1.

  • You may rob them according to robbery rules.

  • The scene should end once the conflict concludes.

Stage 2 – Flatback

If the situation escalates further and the rival is flatbacked (killed):

  • This is considered Stage 2.

  • You may NOT rob the player after flatbacking them.

  • Flatbacking represents a serious escalation and should not be done lightly.

You must choose one outcome:

  • Rob them (Stage 1) OR

  • Flatback them (Stage 2)

You cannot do both.

Memory Wiping

Players may not force memory wipes during gang conflicts.

You cannot:

  • Force someone to forget the interaction

  • Demand they “wipe the memory”

  • Use intimidation to bypass server rules regarding memory

Memory rules are handled by server mechanics and staff, not by players forcing it through RP.

Purpose of This Rule

This rule exists to encourage strong street presence and gang dominance roleplay.

Gangs should:

  • Be active on the streets

  • Defend their reputation

  • Create organic rivalries and tensions

However, this must always be balanced with high-quality roleplay, proper escalation, and respect for server rules.

The goal is to create gangs that are feared through reputation and presence, not through random violence.
